OUR JOURNEY

WHO ARE WE?

STRIKE FORCE LASER TAG is a mobile Laser Tag business in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. We are based in Evanston Park and specialise in birthdays, corporate events, celebrations and School or OSHC incursions.

We wanted a mobile business because it allows us to meet so many great people and it removes a barrier for people by bringing the experience directly to you.

WHAT’s Our Story?

A Passion for Laser Tag

As a teenager, a group of us would meet once a week to play Laser Tag. It was through this I discovered how much fun it was and how active it could be. This formed the drive to one day get into the industry.

Off the Shelf Game Kits

Wandering through a store one day an exciting new Laser Tag offering caught my eye, Recoil.

Recoil Goes Under

I continued to keep an eye on the Laser Tag Market. It led me to Facebook where I found an article confirming the Recoil company had been sold. By this stage I had accumulated 16 recoil sets and now an uncertain future for them.

Best Equipment in the Market

Fearing the worst, I began researching commercial grade equipment companies and found Delta Strike, Lasermaxx, Battle Company, Laserwar, Laser Force, Zone Laser Tag and Battlefield Sports all sold commercial equipment.

Opportunity to Buy Established Centre

A local Laser Tag centre was selling up and I enquired to see if it was feasible for me. Ultimately it was not to be but still the desire was burning.

Battle Company

Continuing to research the market, Battle Company was identified to have the best equipment around for a mobile business. They used more realism for their taggers and had a headband that allowed for 360 degree shots.

A Different Direction

COVID19 hit and people were unable to leave home and entertainment felt like a life-time ago. I made the decision to sell off the Recoil equipment I had and put my mind toward new goals.

I Can’t Stop Looking

Even though the effects of COVID19 were still being felt across the globe, I could not stop my mind from drifting into Laser Tag. I began researching the market again and this time discovered Lasertag.net.

RISKY SITUATION

I left my stable employment with nothing to go to. Completely against what I was taught growing up. Whilst I did not know what was next I knew I would be fine.

STRIKE FORCE LASER TAG is Born

I had the business name picked for about 5 years and knew it was going to be mobile. I completed a market review and determined Lasertag.net and Battle Company were the top two equipment in the market.

Business Opportunity

A local Laser Tag centre was closing down and selling off the equipment. It was a centre I had played at previously and they used the Battle Company equipment. After a tense week, I was successful in purchasing the equipment.

Business Launch

We officially launched at the Viking Market in Gawler and had a number of groups throughout the day. Feedback was that every player had a great amount of fun and found the experience to be different to other Laser Tag and great for all ages.

2007

A Passion for Laser Tag

As a teenager, a group of us would meet once a week to play Laser Tag for a couple of hours. It was through this I discovered how much fun it was and how active it could be. This formed the drive to one day get into the industry.

2016

Off the Shelf Game Kits

Wandering through a store one day an exciting new Laser Tag offering caught my eye, Recoil.

This version of laser tag had a more realistic tagger and connected with a smartphone to display game stats – How amazing!

After purchasing a few sets to try it out, we discovered it was great fun and had great build quality but could it work for a business?

2017

Recoil Goes Under

While working a full-time job I kept an eye on the Laser Tag Market, in particular the Recoil equipment.

After researching some Facebook groups I stumbled upon one that posted an article that confirmed the Recoil developer had stopped the product and sold it to another company.

By this stage I had accumulated 16 recoil sets. It’s not all doom and gloom, its been picked up by another company, right?

2018

Best Equipment in the Market

Fearing the worst, I began researching commercial grade equipment companies and found Delta Strike, Lasermaxx, Battle Company, Laserwar, Laser Force, Zone Laser Tag and Battlefield Sports all sold commercial equipment.

Some even had equipment here in Adelaide.I began researching and getting quotes.

2019

Opportunity to Buy Established Centre

A local Laser Tag centre was selling up and I enquired to see if it was feasible for me.

Ultimately it was not to be but still that desire was burning. Back to the day job.

2020

Battle Company

Continuing to research the market, I came to a conclusion Battle Company had the best equipment around for a mobile business. They used more realism for their taggers and had a headband that allowed for 360 degree shots.

When I found out a local centre was using this equipment I jumped at the opportunity to take a group down and play.

What an experience! The sounds, feel of the tagger and the ability to be shot all-around.

I fired off a request for quote to see what the investment would be to setup a mobile business using this equipment.

More than I expected, but quality equipment comes at a cost. Back to the day job.

2020

A Different Direction

COVID19 hit and people were unable to leave home and entertainment felt like a life-time ago.

Fearing I was too focussed on chasing boyhood dreams I made the decision to sell off the Recoil equipment I had and put my mind toward new goals.

2021

Can’t Stop Looking

Even though the effects of COVID19 were still being felt across the globe, I could not stop my mind from drifting into Laser Tag. I could not suppress it, it was still a dream.

I picked up researching the market again and this time discovered Lasertag.net. Their equipment looked good, they too had headbands and options for game devices to make every game unique.

Risky Situation

I left my stable employment with nothing to go to. Completely against what I was taught growing up but it needed to be done.Whilst I did not know what was next I knew I would be fine.
